I use my professional experience in the data & analytics domain to create custom reports with the data we collect from the data logging process.  These reports serve as a tuning aid which allows us to deep dive into the wealth of information that’s available from those logs.

Let us take a look at how a tuner might evaluate how well your transmission is shifting.  Many tuners will “eye ball” how long a shift takes in the data log viewer provided by the tuning software.  What I do instead is use my proprietary algorithms that define what a shift is and gives us an programmatic and consistent view of how each shift performs, i.e. when it starts, when it finishes, how long it takes, how much timing is pulled, and more!

My data driven approach to tuning is what makes me so successful.  It takes a lot of the guess work out of the process and allows us to reach our goals more efficiently while allowing us to identify issues along the way.
